Our wines scored points in the Czech Republic! The renowned winery Golguz from Hlohovec, which also belongs to the Sanagro group, won 5 gold medals and even the title of overall champion among foreign wines at the 51st edition of the Valtice Wine Market.
World-class Pinot Blanc
An expert committee composed of leading personalities of the wine industry evaluated 708 wine samples from 128 wineries from Moravia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. Golguz stood up to tough international competition and proved that the centuries-long tradition of processing the vines of the Lesser Carpathian wine-growing region is still alive today. Among the award-winning wines was also Pinot Blanc from the Golguz winery in Hlohovec, vintage 2017. "We are delighted and very much appreciate it. The wine is from our oldest 44-year-old vineyard, it is full-bodied, fruity and has potential," said Miloslav Holík, director of Golguz winery. "This is an award for all the Golguz employees who contribute to our continued growth and keeping the imaginary quality bar high," he added.
