FOOD FARM OWES ITS SUCCESS MAINLY TO A RESPONSIBLE APPROACH
This is evidenced not only by agricultural production, diversification of production and the overall development of society, but also by the successful fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The responsible approach of the employees is yielding results.
FOOD FARM is a member of the Sanagro group and unites 2 farms in the vicinity of Hlohovec - Dolné Trhovište and Leopoldov. Let's take a closer look at their activities.
MEET THE FOOD FARM
The company focuses on both crop and livestock production. Within the crop production the most represented are dense-seeded cereals (winter wheat, spring barley), oilseeds (winter rape), maize and perennial fodder crops, in special production it is seed maize or sugar beet. As far as livestock production is concerned, the farm specialises in dairy cattle. Thanks to advanced milking technologies, superior genetic material, quality nutrition and professional management, the production of raw cow's milk classified in the highest quality class and supplied exclusively to Slovak dairies contributes significantly to the company's revenues. It is also worth mentioning that FOOD FARM is one of the best dairy farms in Slovakia in terms of dairy cow performance. Milk production in 2018 reached up to 5 766 932 l. All of the above activities are carried out by FOOD FARM using modern machinery, which allows for intensified production.
LIABILITY AGAINST CORONAVIRUS
Working in agriculture is challenging even under normal conditions, but this is doubly true during a pandemic. Livestock workers can attest to this. Olga (50 years old) has been working in agriculture for 21 years, but she has never experienced such a difficult situation before. Her colleague Michal (20 years old), a calf handler, on the other hand, started working in the agro-industry just before the pandemic broke out. In his own words, he is now experiencing an unexpected trial by fire.
It's not easy for crop workers either. The coronavirus, for example, has caused the machine repairman Jaroslav (48 years old) to wait longer for spare parts. His namesake, tractor driver Jaroslav (34 years old) or forager Milan (45 years old) and many others have been forced to keep contact with their colleagues to a minimum, which has also affected their lunches together. The pandemic complicates everyone's work, but everyone at FOOD FARM behaves responsibly and thanks to this the company continues to operate successfully.
TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT
The FOOD FARM employees, who can rightly be described as heroes of today, have one important message for us. Let us all behave in the same responsible way and observe strict hygiene measures. Together, we will surely make it through this and when the pandemic is over, we will toast to further joint successes with some of JABLČNÔ's products.
