In the hundred of the best Slovak farms are up to four from SANAGRA, evaluated by independent experts.
Four SANAGRO teams were ranked in the top 100 farms in Slovakia last year. In the most respected Top Agro survey, which evaluates the quality of Slovak farms, independent experts in the agro sector from the Research Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics decided. They examined the financial and economic results of farms and independent farmers on our market.
SANAGRO: FOOD FARM IS POSITIONING ITSELF FOR THE LONGER TERM
This is the third time that Food Farm has been ranked in the Best Farms list, the remaining cooperatives are being recognized for the first time. "I am proud of the management and all of our farm staff as these awards show their commitment and hard work every day, whatever the conditions. We took over some of these farms at the time of their unfavourable economic situation, which makes me all the more pleased to be ranked in the Top 100 best farms," said Tomas Kohut, CEO of SANAGRO Group.
From the Hlohovec region, SANAGRO was represented among the best farms, in addition to Food Farm, also through the Agricultural Cooperative Dolné Otrokovce. Two other SANAGRO Group cooperatives - the Peasant Cooperative of Samuel Jurkovič in Sobotiště and the Peasant Cooperative in Častkov - were also highly ranked.
THE SURVEY IS ORGANISED BY INDEPENDENT EXPERTS
Top Agro Slovakia is a prestigious competition of Slovak agribusiness managers. The committee assigns a number of points to the individual criteria based on the companies' results and the sum of the points determines the ranking in the survey.
The competition is organized by the Club of Agricultural Journalists under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Chamber of Agriculture and Food. The expert guarantor is the National Agricultural and Food Centre, Research Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics. The competition has been organised since 1995.
